It does not live up to her past performances but I thought it was good. Her body was fantastic, I would lvoe for my body to look like that! Britney is back, now she needs to get her life back together!

LACKLUSTER - especially for something that is supposed to be her big comeback performance.

I can't believe that after all the hype, that was IT. She could've done so much better, and gave people a PERFORMANCE. Seriously, given her track-record, it sucked. HARD.

i dunno my tv's messed up its airing it @ 9 tonight so..ya..but so far everyones been saying it was horrible..not much of a comeback n stuff..

Horrible; I feel really bad for her because she seemed lost. She was just a shell of her former self. I love the song however she seemed so unsure of herself that she wasn't comfortable w/ the routine. She seemed stiff. Hopefully her next time performing will be better.

I definitely agree leeluvfashion. She seemed so lost and unsure of herself. She kept looking down at the ground and didn't make eye contact with the audience at all. While she was in her prime, she always performed with a certain sparkle in her eye, but that was definitely gone tonight. Plus the dancing was mediocre at best and she didn't even try to lip synch with the song. The whole routine seemed like it was under-rehearsed.

Really disappointing. It felt like she wasn't even "there." After all of the hype, this performance was extremely meh. Her dancing seemed forced and clumsy, nothing new or interesting, she looked like she was phoning it in. Definitely lip-synched but without any of her previous charisma or attitude.

I honestly think it was more "boring" than "bad" but I picked "bad" because it wasn't even "okay". Does that make sense?

thank goodness SHE turned away from the audience several times. Very miserable and not worth watching. She lacked any confidence- not an entertainer worth watching- just a trainwreck.

Who in their right mind would vote FANTASTIC?!?!?!? Whoever that person was should get a life and realize Britney is DONE WITH!!!!

it could not have been worse. there's no way. she looked awful (who performs in their underwear?), she could barely find the energy to lip sync, much less dance (really, could she move any less without standing on the stage motionless humming her song she obviously barely knows?). i didn't even watch the show but i looked the performance up online just now and i wish i didn't waste my time. what an embarassment to mtv, letting this wreck perform her "music". i had almost forgotten why i never watch that channel.

that was horrible !!!!!! so what happen to the illusions? like the fact that britney could still perform. so all the rumors about the mirrors and illusions was just an excuse to cover up the fact that she's boinking the nastiness that is chris angel. she is so over.

Geez, whatever happened to wearing a cool, hip, fantastic outfit and just standing on stage and delivering a solid kick butt performance. no smoke and mirrors, slutty back up dancers, or anything like that. just the singer and their own, real voice! she was a disaster, it totally sucked and i cant imagine why she would even think she should be wearing that outfit-oh wait it is britney we are talking about. she is trash and she needs to go away and focus on being a mom and a normal person who takes care of her kids and herself. she is just foul.

It was beyond APPALLING!!! She couldn't even stand up straight without side-stepping around like a drunken moron. Like, could you take one night off from being stoned out of your tree? Obviously not, and it showed! I feel so sorry for her boys! Nice mother. Stoned idiot loser.

All she kept singing was gimme more,But I did like her performance. I think she needed to put on a least a pair of pants, so I would say it was okay, A few more times and she will probably be the old Brittany we use to know and LOVE!!!!

the song was good, but the girl was horrible. i felt really embarassed for her . . . it was sad to see her lack of confidence out there; she just kind of walked around and didn't bust out her usual set of moves. really disappointing!

The song was forgetable and over produced, her outfit was unflattering and didnt fit her, she embarassed herself miserably.

Since everyone up for awards this year were a bunch of losers anyway, she fit right in with the no talent of today.

YES, it was not good, her performance wasn't her best, guess she's nervous, she's been out from the limelight so let's give her credit for that. she looks better to me, she's been trying to loose weight at least naturally not from lippos, nip/tuck way so I'm giving her AAA+++ for that. can we just be happy for her that she's trying to have her career back and at least she looks healthy than those skinny girls our children idolized or we idolized.

It was terrible ... she should just retire ... leave her career with SOME dignity. Oh yeah, it's too late for that ... but she keeps digging herself in deeper and deeper.

Why were the choices "Great, Good, Okay and Fantastic" even options? It should have read "Embarrassing, Nauseating, Suicidal Thought Provoking, Sleep Inducing, Hilarious and I Nearly Crapped My Pants It Was So Funny!".
Her days of "singing and dancing" are OVER! Angels are weeping with joy today!!! Maybe now she'll learn how to read or even put on shoes. Miracles do happen.

i say bad because it could have been worse...she was stupid for lip synching and then not singing half the words she should have been more creative...her dance was boring...and the whole performance was bland..she is famous for her headline making VMA performances...and this was her worst performance of all time.

Personally I remember being so jealous of her body before she had kids, cause I once had a perfect body before I had my child. Now her body looks very similar to mine SHE IS NOT FAT. If someone thinks she is they need help, she is skinny. As far as her performance, ya it was bad. She didn't dance it almost looked like she was either on pain killers or didnt trust her shoes or maybe her feet hurt really bad. I can't figure out why she did not dance or sing for that matter. I do however think we expected to much and with everything she has been through she will never be the same Britney as before. Bottom line is she still has fans and the sales of her albums will show that. She isn't the superstar she used to be but people still love her and love to see her. Let her do her thing, people are ridiculous before it was she was to slutty now its shes not slutty enough. Get a life people. Im not even a fan of Britney, I think she has talent, and no this performance did not change my mind on that. She is getting older and she is tired from her family life.... thats only going to continue to be the case. So if you dont like her dont watch her dont listen to her dont talk about her.... DUH!
